An appreciation and exploration of linguistics, language, poetry, and clever word play as framed by the peerless poetry of the modern day master, Elvis Costello.
The "Slow Drag with Remedy" Podcast is an appreciation that is written, produced, and narrated by Remedy Robinson.Remedy is an ardent Elvis Costello fan who has spent a lifetime immersed in language, poetry, idioms, metaphors, obscure references, and the basic functions of language and communication.
Remedy's love for both the medium of podcasting, and the written words of the modern-day Master, Elvis Costello, have come together to form a natural fit. "Slow Drag with Remedy" is a passion project that has no lofty ideals past the exploration and appreciation of the genius words, phrases, and references found in each song credited solely to Mr. Elvis Costello.
Remedy graduated Summa Cum Laude with her BA in Linguists before going on to earn both a Master's degree in Linguistics and an MFA in Creative Nonfiction Writing. She is a proud graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
Now with 100+ episodes written, recorded, and published, Remedy started "Slow Drag with Remedy" around three years ago, realizing her long-time dream of lending her voice to the podcasting universe.
So, until next time, adieu, my little Ballyhoo.

Remedy's first published book, "The Most Terrible Time in My Life...Ends Thursday" mingles accumulating joys and sorrows and then lays them out in a swiftly moving creek of remembrances and confession. It is available through Amazon, in both Kindle and Paperback formats.
Due out early next year, Remedy's second book, "The First Rule of Wing Walking," is a continuation of her first book, yet is told in a very different fashion. Watch for updates and excerpts that are coming soon. Thank you.
